OBJECTIVES
· The program aims to cover and recall topics from all professional medical technology courses to evaluate and enhance the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of the graduate students for the Medical Technologist Licensure Examinations which is administered by the Professional Regulations Commission – Board of Medical Technology.
· Since Spearhead and MCNP’s first partnership produced a top 3 and a higher school performance, it only proves that our previous program is effective on our students.

RATIONALE:
For years, the College of Medical Laboratory Science spearheads the conduct of Institutional Review Program as part of students’ preparation for the formal review for the Medical Technologists Licensure Examination. Its importance and effectiveness are seen through-out the years as the college produces lots of quality-assured and globally competitive Registered Medical Technologists. It equips students with strong foundation of knowledge through intensive lectures encompassing the subject areas catered in the Licensure Examination, with subsequent examinations/rationalizations to evaluate themselves and their academic performance and development.
OBJECTIVES:
Generally, this program aims to the prepare mindsets of the reviewees for the upcoming formal review program and ultimately, the board examination on March 2022 or August 2022.
Specifically, it aims to:
1. Strengthen the basic foundation of the reviewees in the different concepts and principles included in all the subject areas of the board examination.
2. Hone the academic and theoretical knowledge of the reviewees on all of the six-subject areas of the board examination.
3. Improve the testmanship and question analysis through rationalized examination.
RATIONALE:
In line with the Vision and Mission of the College of Medical Laboratory Science to produce globally competitive graduates, students in the level III must be able to possess the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to become successful in their future endeavor specially during the Internship Training Program and in preparation for the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination. It is imperative that students must have the mastery of their subjects and the necessary skills required in their chosen career. Thus, the written battery examination of the College was conceptualized to measure and evaluate student’s academic capability and preparedness to face the realities in the Medical Technology profession. It shall be used to assess the readiness of the students to undergo Clinical Training and be able to adopt to the demands in the clinical setting. This is also excellent in providing an overview of the student’s strengths and weakness.
Students who shall not be successful in passing the said examination shall be undergoing the Medical Laboratory Science Institutional Competency Enhancement Program that is geared towards providing students with innovative learning experiences to augment competencies that form the foundation required for the students Medical Laboratory Scientist to practice and enhance their knowledge of the various physical principles involved in diagnostic imaging, develop confidence and ensure academic excellence with end goal to produce highly qualified graduates with the requisite attitude, skills and knowledge to succeed in the licensure examination, workplaces and to take on leadership roles in their field of specialty.

This program is designed to provide students
with innovative learning experiences to augment competencies that form the
foundation required for Medical Laboratory Science students to practice and enhance their knowledge of the
various physical principles involved in diagnostic laboratory, develop
confidence and ensure academic excellence with the end goal to produce highly
qualified graduates with the requisite attitude, skills and knowledge to
succeed in the licensure examination, workplaces and to take on leadership
roles in their field of specialty
The course is designed to give an extensive lecture of selected special topics on the different subject areas catered in the licensure examination – Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology and Parasitology, Clinical Microscopy, Hematology, Immunology and Serology, Blood Banking with Transfusion Medicine, Histopathological Techniques, Laboratory Management, Medical Technology Laws and Bioethics. This is to prepare the students in the different theoretical aspects of techniques employed in the Clinical Laboratory and to give the students a view of the different subject areas of the licensure examination.
COURSE OUTCOMES (CO) SPECIFIC TO THE SUBJECT:
A graduate of Bachelor of Medical Technology course must
achieve the following after finishing the subject:
