Clinical- Practicum 101 A

Course Outcomes: At the end of the semester, the students will have developed the necessary competencies in the care and management hence, ensuring safety and comfort for both mothers and babies. Specifically,

1.    Conduct assessment and necessary health teachings to mothers during prenatal visit;

2.    Monitor and document the progress of labor as well as the maternal and fetal well-being using Partograph;

3.    Perform vaginal examination and intravenous insertion as necessary with supervision;

4.    Perform normal spontaneous delivery to patients who are not high risk with supervision;

5.    Perform the Essential Intrapartum and Newborn Care as well as maternal care during the post-partum stage;

6.    Assist in the repair of perineal laceration (first and second degree laceration only); and

7.    Conduct discharge health teachings on family planning, breastfeeding, cord care, exercise, hygiene, nutrition and post partum check-up.


Sumasaklaw ang kursong ito sa mga mahahalagang konsepto, babasahin, praktika, at teorya tungkol sa panitikang Pilipino. Ilan sa mga ito ay ang mga iba’t ibang panitikan na matatagpuan sa Pilipinas at ang mga kulturang nakapaloob dito. Nasasalamin din dito ang mga pagpapahalagang Pilipino na kumakatawan sa mga aral na kinakailangan upang maging isang tunay na Pilipino. Nalilinang din sa tulong nito ang mga kasanayan na kinakailangan sa paghubog ng isang mabuting indidwal na kinakailangan upang mapanatili ang mga natatanging pagkakailanlan ng mga Pilipino sa larangan ng kultura, sibilisasyon, at sining. Makatutulong din ang kursong ito sa pagpapayabong ng likas na katangian ng mga Pilipino hindi lamang sa buong Pilipinas kundi rin sa buong mundo.

Course Description

Purposive Communication is a three-unit course that develops students’ communicative competence and enhances cultural and intercultural awareness through multimodal tasks that provide them opportunities for communicating effectively and appropriately to a multicultural audience in a local or global context. It equips students with tools for critical evaluation of a variety of texts and focuses on the power of language and the impact of images to emphasize the importance of conveying messages responsibly. The knowledge, skills, and insights that students gain from this course may be used in their other academic endeavors, their chosen disciplines, and their future careers as they compose and produce relevant oral, written, audio-visual and/or web-based output for various purposes.


Course Description:  

          Principles of ethical behavior in modern society at the level of the person, society, and interaction with the environment and other shared resources. Mga simulain ng ugaling pang- etika  sa makabagong lipunan  sa antas ng pantao  at panlipunan at sakaugnayan  ng mga ito sa kalikasan  at sa ibang kolektibong yaman.
