RATIONALE:
In line with the Vision and Mission of the College of Medical Laboratory Science to produce globally competitive graduates, students in the level III must be able to possess the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to become successful in their future endeavor specially during the Internship Training Program and in preparation for the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination. It is imperative that students must have the mastery of their subjects and the necessary skills required in their chosen career. Thus, the written battery examination of the College was conceptualized to measure and evaluate student’s academic capability and preparedness to face the realities in the Medical Technology profession. It shall be used to assess the readiness of the students to undergo Clinical Training and be able to adopt to the demands in the clinical setting. This is also excellent in providing an overview of the student’s strengths and weakness.
Students who shall not be successful in passing the said examination shall be undergoing the Medical Laboratory Science Institutional Competency Enhancement Program that is geared towards providing students with innovative learning experiences to augment competencies that form the foundation required for the students Medical Laboratory Scientist to practice and enhance their knowledge of the various physical principles involved in diagnostic imaging, develop confidence and ensure academic excellence with end goal to produce highly qualified graduates with the requisite attitude, skills and knowledge to succeed in the licensure examination, workplaces and to take on leadership roles in their field of specialty.
GENERAL
OBJECTIVE:
1. To
conduct a Virtual Battery Examination for Level Three students of the College
of Medical Laboratory Science via Zoom and LMS platforms.
SPECIFIC
OBJECTIVES:
1.
To instill a spirit of
academic competency.
2.
To practice their testmanship
capabilities for the board examination.
3.
To ready their mindsets for
the upcoming review programs and ultimately, the board examination on August
2020.

RATIONALE:
As part of their preparation for the formal review for the licensure examination, the College of Medical Technology conducts the institutional review program to better prepare the reviewees in their academic performance. The program will ensure that the reviewees enrolled therein will be given intensive lectures encompassing the subject areas catered in the licensure examination with subsequent examination/rationalization to evaluate themselves and their academic performance and development.
OBJECTIVES:
- Strengthen the basic foundation of the reviewees in the different concepts and principles included in all the subject areas of the board examination.
- Hone the academic and theoretical knowledge of the reviewees on all of the six-subject areas of the board examination.
- Improve the testmanship and question analysis through rationalized examination.
- Preparation of the mindsets of the reviewees for the upcoming formal review program and ultimately, the board examination on March 2021 or August 2021.
