This course is divided into three major parts: The first seek to understand the construct of the self from various disciplinal perspectives; philosophy, sociology, anthropology and psychology- as well as the more traditional division the East and West- each seeking to provide answers to the difficult but essential question of “What is the Self?” And raising among others the question: “Is there even such a construct as the self?”
The second part explores some of the various aspects that make up the self, such as the biological and material up to and including the more recent Digital Self. The third and the final part identify three areas of concern for young students: learning, goal setting, and managing stress. It also provides for more practical application of the concepts discussed in this course and enables them hands-on experience of developing self-help plans for self-regulating learning, goal setting and self-care.

about the different kinds of human vices and the different kinds of drugs. It
will deal on the sociological, psychological, and physiological perspectives
and dimensions on the effects of drug use and abuse, and the social development
of vices. It will also cover on the different laws governing, regulating, and
prohibiting drugs and vices. The enforcement of these different laws, relevant
jurisprudence, the investigation, gathering of evidence, arrest and seizure of
drugs and vices.
RATIONALE:
In line with the Vision and Mission of the College of Medical Laboratory Science to produce globally competitive graduates, students in the level III must be able to possess the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to become successful in their future endeavor specially during the Internship Training Program and in preparation for the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination. It is imperative that students must have the mastery of their subjects and the necessary skills required in their chosen career. Thus, the written battery examination of the College was conceptualized to measure and evaluate student’s academic capability and preparedness to face the realities in the Medical Technology profession. It shall be used to assess the readiness of the students to undergo Clinical Training and be able to adopt to the demands in the clinical setting. This is also excellent in providing an overview of the student’s strengths and weakness.
Students who shall not be successful in passing the said examination shall be undergoing the Medical Laboratory Science Institutional Competency Enhancement Program that is geared towards providing students with innovative learning experiences to augment competencies that form the foundation required for the students Medical Laboratory Scientist to practice and enhance their knowledge of the various physical principles involved in diagnostic imaging, develop confidence and ensure academic excellence with end goal to produce highly qualified graduates with the requisite attitude, skills and knowledge to succeed in the licensure examination, workplaces and to take on leadership roles in their field of specialty.
