The Medical Laboratory Science Internship Program aims to improve the students’ knowledge and skills that they’ve obtained during their first three years of studying and to prepare them to be more competent, highly skilled and responsible health care providers.
Generally, the Medical Laboratory Science Internship Program (MLSIP) is intended to allow the students to apply the knowledge they earned in the field of Medical Technology.
Specifically, it aims to:
1.hasten the skills of students in performing laboratory procedures that are useful in disease diagnosis.
2.provide alternative modalities in the delivery of Medical Technology Internship Program.
The course is designed to give an extensive lecture of selected special topics on the different subject areas catered in the licensure examination – Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology and Parasitology, Clinical Microscopy, Hematology, Immunology and Serology, Blood Banking with Transfusion Medicine, Histopathological Techniques, Laboratory Management, Medical Technology Laws and Bioethics. This is to prepare the students in the different theoretical aspects of techniques employed in the Clinical Laboratory and to give the students a view of the different subject areas of the licensure examination.

This course describes the skills, knowledge and performance outcomes required to manage multicultural diversity in workplace that covers organization’s diversity policy, encouraging diversity within work teams and upholding the benefits of a diverse workplace.
